RF over Fiber

FIS Blue has partnered with RFOptic and its North American distributor Summit Communications Solutions to offer RF over Fiber solutions. RFoF modules can be standalone or housed in various enclosures. In multilink RFoF deployments typically up to 8 of the Tx or Rx modules will be housed in 1U chassis at the central location while the corresponding Tx and Rx modules will be housed in an outdoor enclosure by the antenna. RFOptic’s outdoor enclosure is IP-65 rated and can be fitted with industrial or military grade connectors. To connect various chassis to each other RFOptic and SummitCSC rely on FISBlue’s expertise in designing and providing customized indoor, outdoor, and tactical multi core fiber cables with specialized connectors.

RFoF solutions are used as coax replacements in applications that can’t tolerate high RF signal losses stemming from long coax cable runs. RFOptic’s RFoF Solutions are programmable enabling the user to adjust System Level Gain (S21) and Noise Figure (NF) parameters by modifying the internal amplifier and attenuators through a GUI.

RFOptic and SummitCSC provide RFoF solutions from 500 KHz up to 40 GHz for Telecommunications, Defense, Satcom, Radar Calibration, GPS distribution, in building distribution and Audio Visual applications.
